A hideaways restaurant — everyone is curious & loves to go. But, always, theose locations are unusual, anti-welcome, looks like [private], rather [Do not enter].
隠れ家のレストランって、響きはいいけれど、行ってみると結構、不安だったりする。。。だって、看板を見るまでは迷路というか、「立ち入り禁止」みたいな場所が多い。アモ<AMMO>はまさにそんな場所。
Un restaurant hideaways – tout le monde est curieux et aime aller. Mais, toujours, les lieux sont inhabituels, anti-bienvenue, ressemble à [privé], plutôt [Ne pas entrer].
[AMMO] is located at the old explosives and ammunition production and storage,built by the British Army in the mid-19th century. Today, it is called “Asian Society”, this heritage site was transformed into a modern building /community offering a lot of cultural, intelectual, and artistic programs, next to the English embassy.
アジアソサエティ・香港センターは、かつて中国が英国統治下にあった時1860年から1940年代、旧英国軍の弾薬庫として使用されていた４つの建物が、現代風に生まれ変わったモダン空間。その裏道を入った一角にレストラン「AMMO（アモー）」があるんです。
[AMMO] est situé à l’ancienne production et de stockage d’explosifs et de munitions, construit par l’armée britannique au milieu du 19e siècle. Aujourd’hui, c’est sa appelée «Société asiatique», ce site patrimonial a été transformé en un bâtiment moderne / communauté offrant beaucoup de programmes culturels, intellectuels et artistiques, à côté de l’ambassade anglaise.
Wow! 1st glance of AMMO’s is nothing like interlectual & educational place. Frankly speaking, it is rather “Bling-bling”, flashy, & ostentatious. The GOLD!! I guess it is on purpose. When we find a hideaways, we are happy to show off, like “bling-bling” people…
で、入った瞬間、キンキン、キラキラ〜 軍事用施設じゃなくて、芸能人施設みたいな（笑）
oh là là‼ Le premier coup d’œil de l’AMMO n’est rien comme un lieu intellectuel et éducatif. Franchement, c’est plutôt “Bling-bling”, flashy, & ostentatoire. L’or!! Je suppose que c’est à dessein. Quand nous trouvons des cachettes, nous sommes heureux de frimer, comme les gens bling-bling …
Aftenoon tea in a hideaways has both flashy side and traditional side. Squid ink mini burger is modern, aspic-jelly is simply bling-bling & no taste. But fresh baked scones are hearty & comfy. Minimum order is for 2 people, ( about 400 HKD). Added champagne becomes double the price. Oops!
「AMMO」のネーミング由来は、キーワードとなる「アジア」「モダン」「ミュージアム」「オリジナル」の4つの頭文字による合成語。 ま、オリジナルだわなぁ、こんな キンキンキラキラ。 それでアフタヌーンティは色とりどり。イカスミのハンバーガー、美味しいものもあれば、そうでない物もあって、やっぱり「モダン」＆「オリジナル」なのかも。。。 モダンアートがわからない私（笑）
Le thé Aftenoon dans un abri,a côté flashy et côté traditionnel. le mini-burger d’encre est moderne, aspic-gelée est simplement bling-bling et pas de goût. Mais les scones anglais cuits au four sont copieux et confortables. L’ordre minimum est pour 2 personnes, (environ 400 HKD). Le champagne ajouté devient le double du prix. Oops!
If you are looking for a quiet hideaways & relaxing in your afternoon, Ammo is excellent. Budda Head is also waiting for you on top floor of this building!
美味しかったのは、定番スコーン。これはわかる。 クロテッドクリームじゃなくて、脂肪分の少ないふわっとしたクリームです。二人分がミニマムオーダーで４００HKDぐらいです。それにシャンパン飲んじゃったからお値段は倍になってしまった。。。 まぁいいか、 隠れ家レストランの発見。 人混みうじゃうじゃの香港で、人っこ一人いないような空間のお庭、大仏頭、そして、小さな個人ギャラリーが上階あります。なんだかとってもいいもの発見！って思いますよ。
Si vous êtes à la recherche d’un endroit calme et détente dans votre après-midi, Ammo est excellent. Budda Head vous attend aussi au dernier étage!
