English speaking Cooking Class!

 Mayu’s Kitchen & Co., one of the most popular cooking workshops in Paris, started to offer the best food-culture classes in Asia.   Chef  Mayu, has been trained  in  Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Traditional Japanese Culinary Art <Yanagihara :Kinsa-Ryu> and worked for French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and  international VIP clients as private chef.  She will be happy to assist you into the fun authentic world of French  & Japanese cooking including the starters, main courses, desserts, etc…

We offcer  2 styles of  cooking  classes:

① Group Lesson ( Monthly Menu is fixed by chef , Max 6 students for 3hours )
② Private  Lesson  ( Menu  & Schedule are bespoke & flexible.  SEE BELOW )

If you are early bird and want to go around local market with Chef,  pls let us know.  We wll have a local breakfast at a wet market, and go around fish  and vegetable shops before the class start.  It is about 1hour.    The meeting point will be after the full registration.  Pls follow booking instruction.

● 800 HKD per class **  Special offer price at 720 HKD per class.  For purchasing 1o lessons (PACKAGES) for regular workshop at once. You may share with your family &  new friend(s) who join the lesson at his/her 1st time.

Cancellation policy:

  • Reservation date can be rescheduled, if canceled more than 3 days prior to booking start date
  • If canceled less than 2 days prior to booking start date, a partial refund of 50% of the cost of the class or reservation date can be rescheduled in case the seat is available in next 2 days.
  • No cancellation notice, or If canceled less than 24 hours prior to booking start date, no refund is issued

◆ Your Private CLASSES ◆

On top of  Group lesson For english speaker ( 2 tiimes per month), you can creat your PRIVATE class,

Choose your favourite menu &  you can create a private clas, the schedule  & menu are more flexible.
i)  minimum 4 persons to make a class, The location is  Mayu’s kitchen for 10am-1pm, or 2:30pm to 5pm. (minimum 3200HKD/ a  3 hours class, depends on the ingredients without drink. bring your own, if you like)
ii)  1 person- 1 teacher private class;   You are the only student for 2hours class:   Menu & schedule are bespoke.  Chef can teach you step by step,  according to your level.  (2400HKD/ a  3 hours class, or  2100HKD per time for 3 class packqges.)
iii) Location is your place (Kowloon or HK island), daytime or evening/weekend class.  Available After 26 Oct .( minimum 6 persons ( or minimum 5000hkd total, without drink)
OTHER:   Mayu’s Kitchen offer private chef service, ( chef will be at your kitchen & cook, NOT catering) I am available after 27 October  . Pls see the details and minimum charges/ rules are in my website.http://mayu-kitchen.com/

Continued my Amiens (food & cheese, not yet tourism LOL! ) report yesterday, “Les halles” is the place you must go! There are 3 different cheese shops are lined up.   Ohhhh, a lovely fresh goat cheese with rose petals.

アミアンの街のLes Hallという屋内のマルシェの中、ここに3件ものチーズ屋が連なっています。これがすごい。まずは 昨日のBray Picardに続きチーズ達、バラのチーズ発見!春ですね〜

A continué mon rapport hier de Amiens ( les nourritures et les fromages) , “Les Halles” est l’endroit où vous devez visiter! Il y a 3 différents fromageries sont alignés.  Un beau fromage de chèvre frais au  pétales de roses.

Boulet de Cassel s a trademark affixed to a cow’s milk cheese made farmer in the town of Oxelaëre in the Nord department in France. Rounded, it is mimolette type: it is a cheese made from milk from cows exclusively Flemish Reds!

北フランスのチーズのオンパレード。こちら 「ブレット デゥ キャセル」ミモレットは1玉2KGで製造ですがこちらは500gサイズ。なんとな〜くミモレットで vaches Rouges Flamandesというフレミッシュの赤い牛のお乳からできるそうな。

Boulet de Cassel est une marque commerciale apposée sur un fromage fermier de lait de vache fabriqué dans la commune de Oxelaëre dans le département du Nord en France.  De  forme arrondie, il est de type mimolette: c’est ce qui fait toute sa particularité ; mais pas seulement puisque c’est un fromage élaboré à partir du lait de vaches Rouges Flamandes exclusivement !

The Génépy ou Génépi (wormwood )is a common name that designates different sagebrush species of Artemisia (Asteraceae), and  grows in the mountain ,altitude between 2000 and 3000 meters .. But, generally, more famous than a plant,  Génépi is a “local liqueur” produced by distillation of this plant, wormwood,  So Cheese “au Génépi ” is very unique mountain cheese!

Tomme au Génépy/  Génépi 匂う?臭いそう(笑)。。Genepiとはサボワ地方の”よもぎ”のお酒、よ〜くみると、お酒じゃなくてGeneiの材料、よもぎ(「アルテミシア」 (Artemisia)が沢山くっつけてある!熟成肉ならぬ熟成チーズ!

Le génépi / génépy est un nom vernaculaire qui désigne différentes espèces d’armoises du genre Artemisia (famille des Astéracées),et que l’on rencontre exclusivement en montagne, qui pousse en altitude entre 2000 et 3000 mètres..  Mais, généralement, plus que comme une plante, Génépi est  une liqueur élaborée par distillation de cette plante, le génépi,
Donc, “Fromage au Génépi”  est très unique du fromage montagne!

Bordier butter— I have never seen such a giant bordier butter,  It may cost fortune in Japan ( in Japan, butter 2 eur in France became 2000 yen! )  OHHHH!!!!

ボルディエの巨大バター! 切り売りです。 この塊で買う人いたら驚き!

Beurre Bordier — Je ne l’ai jamais vu un tel beurre géant Bordier, Il peut coûter la fortune au Japon (au Japon, le beurre 2 eur en France est devenu ¥ 2000!)

Bordier butter, homemade, Why Bordier is so famous? It is because many famous michelin 3 stars restaurants use it!

ボルディのおじさん自家製、ペタペタぺったん、しながら作る三角形のボルディエのバター。

Beurre Bordier, fait maison.  Pourquoi Bordier est  célèbre? C’est parce que beaucoup de restaurants célèbres michelin 3 étoiles utilisent!

Instead of worrying gaining weight by excellent butter, I can “more” enjoy tasting yogurt. Like rich people do in jewelry shop, I bought all kinds of his yogurts! hahaha, it cost less than 15 eur.  My favourite is nature.  Good milky taste!

ボルディエのヨーグルト お試しで全種類1つずつ買ってみました。。。まぁ、なんて大人買い! いえいえ。。きっと中学生でもできる値段。。。 15ユーロで足りました。うふふ❤️  一番のお気にいいは、ナチュレ。何にも風味付けしてないですが、すっごいミルク〜の味。

Au lieu de se soucier de prendre du poids par un excellent beurre, je peux “plus” profiter de la dégustation du yogourt. Comme les gens riches font dans la boutique de bijoux, je l’ai acheté toutes sortes de ses yogourts! hahaha, il coûte moins de 15 eur. Mon préféré est la nature. Le bon goût laiteux!
